How to Reinstall KVM Server Print

Note: Reinstalling the VPS will delete all your data. So make sure you take a local backup from your end if there is any data.


  1. Login to My.serverly.host
  2. Click "SERVICES".



  3. Click on KVM You want to Reinstall.


  4. Go to "Server Information".



  5. Scroll to "Additional Tools".


  6. Click "Reinstall".


  7. Select the OS you want to reinstall and click on the Reinstall symbol. (In this example we are going with "CentOS 9")


  8. Click this text field and add the Password of your choice. (Recommended for settings Password)
    Length: At least 12 characters.
    Complexity: Mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters.



  9. Click "Confirm".



  10. A message will display "The process of rebuilding a VM is in progress. Please wait"
    (Please wait for the process to finish. The page will refresh automatically)



  11. Once the page is auto-refreshed click on "noVNC Console" (To check if your server is Reinstalled successfully) 
    OR
    You can skip the rest of the process since the server has been reinstalled.
     

  12. Enter the Username given to your Server (Sent to you on Server information Email)
    Enter the Newly set Password and hit Enter,
    Switch to the root user with the command "sudo su
    "
